From Vision to Reality: How Fore Competitions was born
Every company has a story behind its birth, and Fore Competitions is no exception. From a business model which has been around since two of its founders (Lyall and Stephen) began the concept some eight year ago, there was one missing piece to take the concept to another level. The company was founded out of a shared passion for golf, with two PGA Professionals heavily involved in the innovation, as well as all other directors sharing a huge passion for the love of golf. Since the beginning, there has always been a deep-rooted love for the game which so many people love around the world. In this blog, we’ll dive into what was once a dream, now turned into a reality.

The concept for Fore Competitions began with a simple question: How can we bring what has been our brainchild for nearly a decade to the masses, but in a way which makes you feel part of something much bigger than just a golf competition site? Both Lyall and Stephen have been running limited number draws for many years now, but have heavily focused on creating a trusted group of people who aren’t just a number in a draw, but a valued part of a community. The vison was there, it just needed a spark of creativity and slare which is where Tom came into the picture. After working with Lyall for many years through his own business, Tom heard the vision from Stephen and Lyall, understanding what core beliefs they both have with their current concept, and what we could do as a collective to bring this unique concept to the golfing world; Fore Competitons was born!
Armed with their vision, the founding team began working on the fundamentals. They spent countless evenings on calls to one another, brainstorming what the company would look like and how we would enter what is now a saturated market in raffle sites. We had to be different, to show people why our concept is not only incredible value for money, but guarantees better odds with prizes no amount of money can buy! One membership, countless chances to win with a hassle-free experience with zero chance of missing out on our giveaways. With countless connections throughout the industry, and opportunities to give back to the members of Fore Competitions, we had a vision that would not only please our community of members, but make them feel part of something very special indeed.
Once the groundwork had been laid, it was time for the directors to put our vision to life and build a website platform which would be the hub for our ideas and vision. The logo and branding was meticulously designed to suit what Fore Competitions represents; something classy, sleek and most importantly; trustworthy.
Like any start-up, Fore Competitions faced its fair share of obstacles during its birth. From what felt like never-ending tweaks to branding and site development, to forecasting and filming commitments to ensure our voice is heard on social media, the road has been a long one but we are proud to launch the website and the model for all golfing enthusiasts to enjoy. Hard work and commitment has been instilled into everyone from the very start of the journey, and we intend on carrying on this ethos throughout the life of Fore Competitions. From fresh ideas, constant development and feedback will run through our company to ensure the end users can enjoy what we believe to be the future of golf competition platforms.
From the very beginning, we wanted to start with a bang and make sure you weren’t disappointed when joining, which is why our first giveaway is nothing short of phenomenal!
